Been using the i8910 for almost a month now. I noticed 3g reception is very poor compared to my previous device the Nokia n73. On the i8910 a lot of the time i get no 3g indoors, and if i do i only get 1 to 3 bars. Maybe a few more outdoors. While I mostly got full in and outdoors reception on my n73.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I use the latest Dutch firmaware I8910XENIF1. Hope this will be fixed in the next firmware.
Btw loved the Q&A of this great device!

Same here, typically, though as I pointed out in my review, it has yet to make any difference regarding performance. I think the phone is just tuned to show the signal more accurately/pessimistically.
It might be worth running some network applications to see how different the reception really is.

One thing that made a positive difference for me was following the UMTS code in your previous post. While I still get low 3g bars most of the time, they do seem higher than they were when it was constantly searching all the bands.
